Glucose Rectangular Tin Can Making Machine Production Line

This glucose rectangular can making process is done subsequently on the production line, blank of can body, lid and bottom is sheared on slitting/shearing machine, lock seam can body is performed on can body making machine, top curling is pressed on pressing machine, beading is pressed on pressing machine, can body bottom is flanged on pressing machine, can bottom is seamed on can seaming machine, lid is punched, trimmed and curled on pressing machine from blanks and bottom is punched from blanks.

Slitting/shearing

Raw material of tin can is tin plate, Operator puts the tin plate on the platform of the shearing machine and inserts the tin plate into the groups of blades. The tin plate pass through the blades which are driven by motor. Tin plate is sheared to blanks with proper size of can body, lid and bottom.

Can body making

Properly slit blanks are stacked on the platform of feeding system, blanks are taken to notching station where the four corners of the blank are notched, groove making station where both ends of the blank are grooved and forming and locking station where the can body is lock seamed and formed. Can body making is performed automatically by can body making machine integrating precurling, notching, groove making, forming and locking into one.

Top curling

Ready can bodies are transferred to top curling station, the operator picks the can body from the conveyor and insert the can body on the mould, closes the mould, presses the foot switch of the pressing machine, the top mould decreases and the top neck curling is done, then the operator takes out the can body from the mould and put back to conveyor and the can body moves to beading station.

Beading

During this station, the operators pick the can body from conveyor and insert the can body on the mould, the top tooling mounted on pressing machine decrease and press on the can body, beading is done. Both opposite sides can be beaded at same time. After beading, the operators take out the can body and put back to conveyor, the conveyor takes the can body to flanging station.

Flanging

At this step, the operators picks the can body from the conveyor and insert the can body on the mould, the top tooling mounted on pressing machine decrease and press on the can body, the can bottom is flanged. Both opposite sides can be flanged at same time. After falnging, the operators take out the can body and put back to conveyor, the conveyor takes the can body to seaming station.

Can body seaming

In order to increase seaming speed, one operator takes can body from the conveyor and inserts can bottom onto can body before seaming. The operator put the can body onto the can seamer, the roller of the seamer rotates and close the bottom onto the can body tightly.

Can lid is made in three steps

First step

The operator takes the properly sheared blank on the pressing machine one by one, the blanks are punched to obtain a rudimentary lid according to size, make and design.

Second step

After punching, the lid is left with uneven sharp edges. The operator takes the rudimentary lid to the pressing machine. This is where step two comes in where the edges of lid are trimmed and made even.

Third step

          Operator takes the the trimmed lid to the mould on the pressing machine, The lid can curl inwards or outwards depending with the design and the mould of the tin can.

Can bottom making

When it comes to the process of making bottom parts for the tin cans, not much work is needed. Bottom parts only require punching from the blanks of the raw materials and there you have your bottom.
